An Epic Run Around Mt Saint Helens!!

What a weekend! This supposed ~50k route runs much more like a 100k. Not because of the length but because of the sheer technicality of the route. Without our map we would likely have been out after dark and maybe even have spent the night on the trail. In the end it took us 11h59min to complete...ok, maybe it was a fraction over 12hr, but 11.59 sounds so much faster!

I headed down with a solid group of guys and we truly had a blast all weekend long. Here is a quick slideshow recap with a full written run report to follow shortly. It took me well over an hour to trim down our hundreds of photos to just sixty...so take the freakin 1.5 minutes to look at them dammit!!

as much as we missed you at momar, that looked like a wicked fun run( except you took duncan and tom) but other than that, WOW!! great to see you hammering out the miles again.

Yeah, I can't wait for Cumberland now! If I had to miss the MOMAR this was certainly a decent way to do it, although I hate missing those races and will more than make up for it on the dance floor in Sept!

I love that run...noticed you stopped at Ape Canyon to take pics...killer spot. Where did you guys start?

We had to start at the Climber's Bivvy as the road beyond was not accessible. It added about 5km to the route and there were some brand new wash outs to deal with, in fact the park warden told us to basically stay at home an not even try it...which meant we had to get down there and conquer it!!
