Showed this to my husband. At first he said 'the guy is retarded'... after previewing the tweets and video, he finished with " the guy is Amazing". YES, I agree you are amazing!! Congrats on Breaking the record!!
You know Gary, one day you'll look back and say, "What the hell was I thinking!". But really, you know in your heart, that you did this for charity and also the lesson you are teaching, that everything is in our minds, or how we're programed to be afraid of succeeding. You are making a difference in the lives of children and people. Your energy and attitude are infectious.
Congratulations Gary! Not sure if you remember, but I was the one from near Carbonear that was speaking with you on the shuttle at Port Renfrew right after you finished the WCT - there were 4 of us in total. I definitely plan to do this trail the next time I'm out east, it looks awesome. --Justin
Wow Gary. Outstanding effort. You really are an inspiration for setting goals and making a difference in people's lives whether it's Right to Play or your fellow runners. Enjoy the rest!
Congratulations Gary!! I'm so happy to hear about your success!
To be honest, when you passed by our camp at just before Petty Harbour (we are the two girls you met at the campsite), the full impact of what you were attempting was not apparent to us, and I was even slightly doubtful that you were serious ("It took us 10 days to get there from Cappahayden! And this guy just started yesterday morning?!"). However, I'm so glad that you were serious, and that you accomplished this amazing feat safely and so successfully! What you've done is nothing short of inspirational. Mad kudos to you for doing such a thing that is not imaginable by so many of us. You've truly set a great example of challenging limits while dedicating it to a good cause. Allow me to congratulate you one more time, and thank you for being an inspiration.
